The Loch has come alive again. The fishing has been hard over the last couple of weeks, because of the hot weather. So there has not been much to report. But now the catch returns have been steadily rising. Most anglers are catching limits now. The trout are moving much more on the surface now and are feeding freely all over the Loch. With longer nights the water is starting to cool down. The heather hills have been holding a lot of fish, and the candy booby on a Di-3 line was the best method. The Loch is still gin clear and fishing well. Not many evening sessions are left, as they normally end on the last day of August. We are doing a back shift from 2.00pm till 9.00pm on Friday the 20th August. For the same price as a normal evening session. If you are interested, please phone and get booked in. The friendship cup was a great success. A huge thank you to Jimmy at Carron and Ross at Harelaw for hosting the event with ourselves at the Black Loch. At the last event at Carron, Jimmy also provided a lovely buffet for all the anglers. A really nice touch. Harelaw won the event, and well done them. Hopefully they will ask us back next year, as it is one of the friendliest competitions around. Scott Adams
