The Loch was quieter than usual, this was due to high water temperatures, by the end of the week the water temperature returned to around 16 degrees, the weather was a mixed bag with light rain, overcast some days, then brilliant sunshine, the wind direction was also varied with a predominantly east wind.
There were 15 boats in the water in the past week, with 26 rods out & 3 bank anglers.
Favourite fly patterns were, foam daddy’s, yellow owl, yellow booby & orange fritz, the Dry flies were doing well with many anglers tempting the fish to the surface.
The following clubs fished the Loch, Leslie & Glenrothes Angling Club & St Mungo’s Angling Club.
We are seeing an increase in bank fishers and Pike fishers and would welcome more anglers to come along and enjoy the experience. We now have our own catering setup at the Loch, so come along and enjoy a full English breakfast before taking a boat out for a fantastic days sport.
