The Loch was quieter than usual, this was due to some brilliant sunshine, with the fish going deep down it was difficult to temp them up to the surface, and its trades holidays.
There were 19 boats in the water in the past week, with 35 rods out & 4 bank anglers.
Favourite fly patterns were, damsels, yellow owl, yellow booby & orange fritz, the Dry flies were doing well until the bright sunshine at the weekend.
Regular anglers to the Loch all had mixed bags, Alex and Chris had 14 for the boat, Laurie returned 9 all on dries, Bobby returned a nice 10lb plus rainbow. The P.A.A.S anglers also had mixed bags, but all enjoyed their days sport.
We are seeing an increase in bank fishers and Pike fishers and would welcome more anglers to come along and enjoy the experience. We now have our own catering setup at the Loch, so come along and enjoy a full English breakfast before taking a boat out for a fantastic days sport.
