The Loch is alive with the naturals at the moment. We have damsels coming up the reeds in North reedy day. Daddy’s coming from the heather hills, and Buzzers from the high bank. Not forgetting the big sedges that are abundant on the Loch. The fish are feeding everywhere. Lures and weighted flies are just not working at the moment. Stick with trying to imitate what the trout are eating. Angler’s fishing dries and buzzer patterns are doing much better than striping lures. Keep on the move, don’t get the anchor wet. Use your drogue. You will catch more fish. The rises early morning and some evenings is something to behold. You feel like you could walk across the water on the back of trout, there are so many rising to the naturals. Most areas have fished steady, but the floating line was by far the best. Two yellow owl’s size 16 was by far the best method. We are looking forward to the Scierra pairs competition this coming Sunday. There are still 4 boats available. Please contact Phil at Scierra Pairs if you would like to enter the competition. The goody bag that you get for entering is worth more than the cost to enter. A no brainer really! Phil will be at the Loch on the day, running the event. Tight lines to all that enter. Scott Adams
