The Loch was quieter last week. Mainly down to travel restrictions and terrible weather. We were closed on Sunday due to the high winds. We will also be closed on Monday, due to the expected high winds. The rod average was three last week, with most anglers catching on big lures. Like yellow dancers or snakes fished slow along the bottom. A cracking 7.2lb over wintered rainbow was caught by Ian Finnie on a sunburst blob, at the dam. The heather hills to the dam seems to be holding fish at the moment. A few have been caught in the bays. But the better numbers have been at the East end of the Loch. The Loch has warmed up quite a bit from last week. It is now just reached five degrees. So that should encourage the trout to move about a bit more looking for food. We have a good selection of flies from My Fishing flies at the Loch for sale. Barbed and de-barbed. You will find much more of their flies on their web site. They are still open for mail orders.
