The Loch has been fishing steady with a rod average of 4. With good, warm, settled weather the trout are cruising on the surface now. Best method was from drifting boats covering water. A floating line with two yellow owls and a small black buzzer in the middle was deadly. It was keeping the nylon under the surface and holding the buzzer high in the water. The trout were taking either the dry, or the buzzer. If they are coming short, stick with two yellow owls, 18ft apart. Again, deadly last week. The hot spot was around the jetty area. But with virtually no wind, the stock fish didn’t seem to move far from the jetty. Again, a lovely 6.8lb over wintered rainbow was caught at the dam. An absolutely stunning fish, with a tail like a shovel. The dam seems to be the place this year, to hold its fair share of over wintered fish. With the wind to change to the East this week it will make things colder on the surface. But sticking with the dry’s should still bring the trout up. Scott Adams
